I thought you might like to know about this interesting story from Brisbane, Australia

We have the well known two storey high houses built of light weight timber ... and roofed with the ubiquitous corrugated iron ...!

Despite their obvious heritage value, the light weight and flexibility means they can be cut into smaller transportable piecess and moved ... not only on their own site but to adjacent or nearby sites or to house sales yards like car sales yards ...

In this particular case, the owner sought to develop the site while leaving the house where it is. He was however told by the local authority that, despite the fact that the house is in a "character protection" area, the house should be moved.

So, to emphasise the IRONY, he sheeted the house with this old red corrugated iron ... !
